The Academy · League of Legends Coaching
Most coaching teaches you what to do.
I teach you how to think.
My name is Shelbion. I have been coaching League of Legends professionally for nine years, working with over 5,000 students across every rank, role, and region.
My background spans individual players, teams, and the US collegiate scene. I am a verified Metafy partner and have delivered over 8,000 coaching sessions across more than 30 countries.
Most coaches will tell you what to do in a specific situation. What I do is different. Every session is built around teaching you how to think about the game so that the right decision becomes automatic — not something you have to remember under pressure.
The players I work with do not just climb. They understand why they are climbing and what to do when the climb gets hard.
We go through your recent games together and identify the specific patterns that are costing you LP. Not generic mistakes. The exact decisions that are showing up repeatedly in your games and exactly what to change.
I watch you play in real time and give you direct feedback on your decision making as the game unfolds. This is the fastest way to build the habit of making the right call under pressure rather than understanding it after the fact.
Most players plateau not because of mechanics but because of how they think about the game. We rebuild the mental framework you use to make decisions so that good play becomes the default rather than the exception.
Whether you are a one trick looking to maximise your champion mastery or a player trying to find the role that fits your strengths, we build a focused plan around your specific situation.
You are stuck and you do not know why
You are watching VODs, reading guides, and grinding games — but the LP is not moving. Something is wrong with the way you are thinking about the game and you cannot see it from the inside.
You want to understand the game, not just play it
You are not looking for a list of tips. You want a framework — a way of thinking that makes the right decision obvious rather than something you have to look up after the fact.
You are willing to examine your own gameplay honestly
Progress requires looking at your mistakes clearly, not defending them. The players who improve fastest are the ones who come in ready to be wrong about things they thought they understood.
Any rank, any role, any region
I work with players from Iron to Diamond and everything in between. The rank is not what matters. The willingness to approach the game differently is what determines whether coaching works.
Not the right fit: If you are looking for someone to tell you the meta build and call it coaching, this is not that. Every session is built around thinking, not templates. If that sounds like too much work, save yourself the time.

All ranks. I have coached players at every level from Iron through Diamond and have worked with US collegiate teams. The rank tells me where you are — it does not determine how we work together or what is possible. What matters is your willingness to approach the game differently.
Yes. The coaching I provide is built around decision making and game sense, which applies across all roles and champions. Whether you are a support main, a jungle one-trick, or a mid laner trying to broaden your pool, the process is the same — we identify what is holding you back and build from there.
You join the Discord and introduce yourself. We have a brief conversation about where you are, what you are struggling with, and what you want from coaching. From there I will let you know how I think we can work together and what that looks like in practice. There is no pressure — if it is not the right fit, I will tell you.
Most players notice a shift in how they are thinking about the game within the first two to three sessions. Rank results vary depending on how consistently you are playing and applying what we cover. The students who improve fastest are the ones who treat the sessions as the beginning of the work, not the work itself.
Yes. The Discord is free. Come in, introduce yourself, and we can talk through whether coaching makes sense for where you are right now. You are not committing to anything by joining.
Both. Some players want a single session to identify a specific problem. Others want a longer working relationship where we track progress over time. We figure out what makes sense after the initial conversation. There is no fixed package — the structure is built around what actually serves your development.
If you are serious about your climb and want to understand exactly what is holding you back, the Discord is where we start.
